In Chinese language there is a proverb describing “the seven necessities”. These seven necessities are: firewood, rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar and tea. If all these items are in your possession, you have everything needed to go about your day without worries or distress. The question I asked myself is, which content from newspapers and other information media are closer to the reality of my everyday life. Is it the cover story, the rather oppressive global developments, or the advertisements for travel and vacation? Is it possible that if all of us had the possibilities of living a good life, the newspapers would present the information in a more positive and constructive manner?
