I painted a piece of light and shadow in the exhibition space. It seems that I painted abstract but was in fact a realistic oil painting. It is a performance which I hold a conversation with myself to talk about the past ten years of my afternoon studio time. This is the most intuitive way of imagining the art school to the general public. In fact, such images are only a small part of the everyday life of the art school today, as contemporary art has evolved over the decades and new mediums have emerged. However, the image of sitting in front of a canvas and painting still exists in most audiences' imagination of an art school.
